Product Software Engineer

Spacelift is looking for a Product Software Engineer to deliver new features and products iteratively, owning them end-to-end from discovery through implementation and maintenance. You'll tackle sophisticated technical challenges spanning multiple technologies, implementing scalable solutions in Go, and take part in an on-call rotation under a "you build it, you run it" model.

Product teams at Spacelift are small and cross-functional — about 8 people including a team lead, backend and frontend engineers, a UX/UI designer, and a product manager — emphasizing close collaboration and pair programming. The company deploys continuously (2+ times daily) behind feature flags, follows an iterative "tracer-bullet" development approach, and runs regular hackathons and innovation experiments.

• 5+ years of hands-on programming experience in Go, Rust, or C/C++
• 6+ years of experience in the tech industry (software engineering, platform, or DevOps)
• Experience with or strong interest in developer tooling
• Ideally, experience with IaC tools (OpenTofu/Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) or the Kubernetes/Cloud Native ecosystem
• Passion for building products and genuine interest in technology
• Proactive, ownership-driven mindset
• Excellent communication skills
• Startup experience preferred
